Love Knot Weddings

Yesterday I went to a wedding with a friend of mine. Now, this was actually the first wedding I have been to, but I have seen other wedding areas in my explorations of SL. I was amazed at how beautiful the setting was...how romantic. Sure, this isn't a legally binding wedding, but if you're going to do it, you might as well do it right!

This first picture is the view before you start to walk down the aisle. It really is a spectacular view. The details are astonishing, with rose petals on the floor, a special wedding walk, and they can provide anything you could want.

Now the second picture is a view of the alter area. Here the couple stands while they exchange vows and rings. A loud speaker allows everyone, even us in the back, to hear what is being said.

I loved the setting this couple chose for their wedding and they seemed to love it even more. Everyone dressed very stylishly, and I would have covered that, but I figured I have to mix it up a bit and show you a location that can help your wedding dreams come true (and no, I didn't get a kick-back for this post). You can find Love Knot Weddings in Great Keppel dAlliez (145, 224, 21).

Congratulations to the newly weds, Vicki Martini and Echo Beaver. I wish you all the happiness in the world, both in SL and RL! It was a beautiful ceremony, one to be remembered by all that attended.

Man Kilts

I do love a man in a kilt, there's something about one that makes me go weak in the knees.

Here's a friend of mine, SymphonicZen Sonic, posing in his kilt. We bought this together on a little shopping expidition we did a while back. He was in need of a kilt, and I, a good adventure. What we got was a place called Tartan Shop located in Lane (220, 119, 29).

This is a very well made flex kilt called "Macrae Dress Tartan" and it was $400L. The creator, Lacy217 McLuhan also made an adjustment of size for my friend.

The poor guy, he had a non-modifiable shape and so some of his bits poked out of the kilt. After the adjustment, he almost looked normal! Although I am still pressing him to get a new shape, his thighs are simply too big (see pic 2)!

This Tartan Shop has other things besides flex kilts. There are also regular mens kilts, utilikilts, both flex and non-flex kilts for women, brogue shoes, and even dance animations. So stop on by if you're looking for something more...unusual.

Nurse Kalia

So yesterday I had a Medical themed event to go to at Death Alley. I wanted to go as a nurse, but not one of those quickly slapped together ones you can get as a freebie (as great as freebies are...). So I searched the SL Exchange (http://www.slexchange.com) and found the perfect outfit for a reasonable price.
From Canimal, in Celestial City (132, 97, 2) I picked up this naughty nurse outfit for a mere $200L, complete with 2 tops and a huge needle to annoy your victims.
I love the detail in this outfit, the only downfall would be the prim attachment for the skirt, because it stands out due to lighting issues within SL. Although if this bothers you much, you can wear the outfit without it and it looks like shorts. I kept it on, maybe because it was part of the overall look. Anyhow, it was a great deal and I love how the bottom of the skirt and the stockings has little clips, as if for a garter. I have to say, this is one of my faourite things so far. Read more!

Camo Bikini

I love this bikini! It's cute, it's simple and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. If memory serves me right (but don't hold me to it) I think it cost me a tiny $50L, which is amazing considering the cut and quality, I would have easily paid double. So glad I didn't.
I love the rear end coverage, as I see it becoming less and less popular. Also its perfect for a moment's notice camo or army event :) Which is why I originally picked it up.
Want one for yourself? Head on over to Heavenly Sin in Parce (147, 75). It's hidden among a million great things, so look carefully.

Flower Platform Corkies

In SL, as in RL, I have somehwhat of a shoe fetish.

Okay, the angle may be a tad off in this photo, but these are some seriously cool shoes. They come in a five-pack, all have the same tan colored base, but the straps and flower detail change color. The pink ones are my favourite of the pack, though I have worn all five options. The creator, Andromeda Raine of Ice Raven Designs, included a note card that suggested setting your foot size to about 5. However, because much prim shoes come in the standard size 0, this is the size i've left my feet at permanently.

Now here is another angle of the flower corkies, where you can better see the style of the shoe. I suppose my foot looks a little small at size 0, but I doubt there would be a noticable difference. Anyhow, if you want to set your feet to 5 and tell me how it looks, that's cool with me.

If you'd like to pick up a pair of these beauties, you can find them at the Coconut Ice boutique on Butterfly Island (141, 171, 27).

Gurl6 hair at the GNUbie Store

For my first real SL shopping post, I'm gonna let you all in about one of my fave aspects of SL...the hair! (or wigs as they are known by some)
This, to the left, is "Pout" in dirty blonde by Gurl6. Now this isn't your run-of-the-mill hair, its also only $1L for a pack of 4! This was in the "Dirties" pack, and all colors come in both small and large.
It also comes in two other 4-packs, "Berries" and "Pinks", which are also just $1L each.
They can be found at the Gnubie store in Indigo (201, 62, 38), which is quite easy to find using the search function. While you're there, you'll find plenty of other things to keep you happy, from clothes, to skins and even a pool. All items are free, $1L or much below regular retail price.
Happy shopping! Read more!
