Tiptoe Through the Tulips with Me

That's immediately what I thought when Grace Winnfield dropped her newest releases for her Gracie Girl line on me. After unpacking everything and trying them all on, I put together my own outfit of sorts that had me humming that tune. Okay, maybe I'm a bit strange, but I'm from Canada in my real life, and it's cold! I'm eagerly awaiting better weather. This little outfit I put together is perfect for a picnic or frolicking through a field of tulips with your best girl friend (or guy).
The shirt is called Pretty Perfect, and is shown in cream. I love the little details on this shirt like the button holes, ruching, and cut-outs across the top of the chest. The belt and color make it very retro, and if you know Kalia, you know she loves retro! The shirts and sold as singles for $80L each, or in a 5 pack for $380L. The other colors are grass (fab!), sky, blanc and baby.
This pretty skirt comes from a full 3 piece outfit called Dolcissima. Included is the skirt, a pretty halter top and a tie-together shrug. The pattern shown on the skirt is repeated in the halter and shrug, for an overall lady-like feel. The outfit all together is something you could wear to meet your inlaws or take tea one afternoon. I'd like to point out, the flexi on this skirt is really good, there is none of that "fly-up" action that happens even with some of the most popular designers. You can get the outfit for $375L.
The store is called Gracie, by Grace Winnfield and you can tp right there with this link: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Phi%20Phi%20Leh/200/174/300/
FYI: the store has 3 lines, Gracie Girl is casual, Winnfield Formals, and Gracie's Bridal, all under one roof!

Show Me Yours: Boots!

I bring you a new feature, "Show Me Yours" where I ask you to show me what are your favorite items to wear.

This post is all about boots! Three beautiful ladies offered to show off their most treasured pair of boots and I'll give you the info to get your own.
First up is the lovely Bethanie Hansen who pulled out a wardrobe staple. Here are her legs modelling a very popular pair of boots by WRONG, they're $199L, come in 7 colors, as well as the fatpack with all the colors at $800L. You can pick up a pair by clicking on this link: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Tipsico/148/147/302/
Second, we have cute lil Elle Kirshner. She too had a popular pair of boots that she adores, and they looked awesome on her. She picked these babies up at Shiny Things, they're $500L ($450L for the ones without laces) and come in 4 colors. See them for yourself here: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Shiny%20Falls/196/175/37/

Last, but not least, is the red hot Cynthia Wheeler. She surprised me with her pick, but I can see why they're her faves. These Caliente Express boots have a lot of personality! They're $400L each and come in 8 sexy colors. Snatch up some for yourself: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Caliente%20City/13/237/25/
Hope you enjoyed this type of post, I hope to do others in the future!

Newbie Find: Tart Clothing

Sometimes I just wander around, Tp-ing to whatever strikes my fancy in my huge collection of landmarks, please excuse me if I drop in at your home while you're in a compromising position. Today my travels took me to Tart, an area with different boutiques set up, all under the Tart brand, for example, one boutique with tattoos, and another with a mobvend and lucky chair, instead of one huge mega-store which can get hard to navigate. Really, this area in general is neat.

Today I noticed that there was a boutique here dedicated to the ever present n00b. Anyone under 30 days old can get anything in that little shop for just $1L! And it's actually nice stuff! Also, those in need of cash can come and camp in the open area, there are 6 camping beanbags. I love it when designers think of the new people, it makes my heart all warm and fuzzy. Okay, myabe not really, but it is a nice gesture. I am older than 30 days so I couldn't model anything for you, but if you're a newbie and you're reading this, check it out!

Show Me Yours...

That's the title of the new series of posts I'm going to be doing, probably about once a week or whenever I get some time. The concept is to have people in-world show off their stuff, either something they bought or created themselves. Each entry will have a specific theme, like "tattoo" or "hat" or anything else I can come up with.
My first entry in this style will be in a couple of days, starting with an easy one - boots. If you want to participate, send me an IM in-world, or leave me a comment here.

Update: I have the post ready as well as another, but I'm unable to post pics here for the time being, hopefully the issue will be resolved soon! Read more!

In the news....

For the past few days there has been talk, debate and arguments about what is right and what is wrong in regards to copying someone else's work for profit. My feelings on this subject are strong. I am 100% against one person copying another person's work. This was prompted was by a recent exposure of one "designer" copying almost exactly other (well-known) designer's work. It is one thing to be inspired, for example, you see one long, flowing, skirt and then make up your own kind, that has the same overall style, but different pattern, length, amount of layers, etc. It is another to buy the skirt you like, take it apart and then produce a near replica and sell it as your own design. What really bothers me is that these are being sold as orginial and unique designs.
